With this course, we are enabling individuals working in various non-EOD roles in post-or active conflict countries, that have an explosive ordnance problem, to improve their professional performance, to increase the overall efficiency of the organization they work for, and to raise the level of their personal safety in the field.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will understand the basics to comprehend hazards, challenges, and solutions in relation to explosive ordnance in a conflict environment. Participants will also gain a better understanding of the inner workings of “mine action” in any given country, thus significantly improving their ability to manage, to mediate or to cooperate with mine action operators, non-governmental organizations as well as governmental bodies, etc.

The course is a combined classroom/outdoor course with a high level of practical elements and hands-on experience.
There are no pre-requisites for attending this course.
Course participants will receive a certificate of successful completion of the course.

Upon request, this course may be offered as an all-female course, providing a safe training- and learning environment for women

• Basics of humanitarian mine action
• Basics of different explosive ordnance clearance operations and -methodologies
• Interactions between clearance- and aid projects in post conflict countries, including interactions with government bodies
• Logistical challenges
• Basic Explosives and ammunition theory
• Safety in the field
• Practical exercises

Location
Courses will take place either the companies’ headquarters near Munich, Bavaria or at the training range near Meissen, Saxony, utilizing the companies’ own training facilities. At either location, students will be accommodated in a mid-range hotel and will be provided with breakfast, lunch, coffee break and refreshments on site. Daily transport between the hotel and respective training locations will be provided. Airport- or Train Station Pick up and drop off are provided as well.
