With this course, we enable successful participants to seek employment as deminers, demining or combat zone clearance team leaders, EOD operators or similar; based on the respective standards of governmental, non-governmental and international organizations, commercial companies, as well as military or police structures within the humanitarian demining and environmental munitions response sector.
Upon successful completion of the combined EOD level ½ course, participants are qualified to attend the EOD level 3 and subsequently the IMAS EOD level 3+ and IMAS IEDD courses, having gained sufficient field experience at their respective current level.
This course combines the International Mine Action Standards (IMAS) with national and international best practices and standards. It will cover the main topics according to IMAS T&EP 09.30/01/2022 (second edition).
The course will also impart essential skills and experiences, in addition to IMAS, based on more than 70 years of experience in Munitions Environmental Response in Germany.
Most of the course topics contain practical elements.
There are no prerequisites to attend this course.
Course participants will receive a certificate of course completion, for which a 75% pass rate is required.
Location.
The courses will take place at the companies’ headquarters near Munich, Bavaria, or at the training camp near Meissen, Saxony, using the companies’ own training facilities. At either location, students will be accommodated in a mid-range hotel and will be provided with breakfast, lunch, coffee break and refreshments on site. Daily transportation will be provided between the hotel and the respective training sites. Pick-up and drop-off service to and from the airport or train station is also provided.
